Ever wondered who the people behind the crafts we admire are and how they bring their creations to life? If so, you’ll love We Are Makers Magazine, Edition 13.
In this edition, we share the stories of more talented makers from around the world. Among them is César Leblic, a ceramic tile maker from the beautiful city of Paris, where we had the pleasure of joining him for a workshop at the end of 2024. We also feature Jacob von der Lippe, a Norwegian violin maker who became the first from Norway to study in Cremona, Italy – the birthplace of violin making. Liesbeth Claessens, an incredible hand weaver from Belgium who has a huge passion for preserving traditional crafts and sharing her knowledge with others. Another fascinating story is that of James Cook from London, an artist who uses the keys of a typewriter to create stunning works of art + 7 more stories!
At We Are Makers it's our mission to spotlight their remarkable work, offering them the platform they deserve to shine and share the magic they bring to the world.

Let customers speak for us
from 130 reviewsI love this so much. Giving makers a platform to reach across boarders and giving makers the opportunity to support one another through learning about other makers. This is a little book of magic and I cannot wait to receive the next publication. Brilliant work guys.
I was so pleased to find this magazine as someone who has an interest in anything to do with craft! Such a wonderful insight in the lives of different craft people and artisans around the world, investigating what their art means to them, and how it helps keep cultures and histories alive. Definitely recommend reading!
The whole issue was excellent.
I so look forward to the new addition when it comes in the mail. I read 4-5 stories every Sunday as my self-care routine, just sit quiet & read.
Kate and Jack consistently find skilled makers from around the world and share their stories in a way that I find very interesting.
Regardless of whether I know what their craft is or if I would purchase what they make, their stories are always so captivating. Hearing of the origins and dreams from these makers, their progress along the way and all the other details is really encouraging to me.
There are so many amazing people out there, and We Are Makers curates some of the best into these quarterly magazines. It's well written, printed on paper that feels and even smells great, and is inspiring to read. I love this edition and each and every edition that has come before it, and I'm looking forward to the next one too!
A beautiful magazine, full of a large range of makers! Very worth the buy and read!
As always it's a real delight to get the latest edition of We are Makers. It's breadth of makers that are interviewed is inspiring. The insights that each has about their work and process gives a real connection to all the diverse makers that are scattered across the globe. it would be nice to have a bit more discussion from each about individual work/objects that they make and the technical challenges that the work raises. Keep up the great work.
Love this magazine!
I look forward to a new edition of your magazine each month as I enjoy reading about skilled makers all over the world, many of whom are my friends. The podcasts and social media posts are also top notch. Keep doing what you do!
Always love receiving my subscription of this mag.
If you haven't purchased one before I suggest you do asap.
Handsome pictures and skilled craftsmen.
Excellent range of creators making varied and exciting objects. Can't wait for the next edition.
I really got into the shorter profiles which made up for the more "artsy" folks. Craft to me is by hand producing a usable product. Boots, forges, axes and froes are the real deal. Painting, prints, etc. are decorative and less useful.
The more detailed interview and copious pictures helped sell the person and their products. Just wish that I was close enough to visit and learn more about their craft experience and products
The diversity and scope of craft is treated with dignity and respect and even though it may not be one's area of concentration there is always inspiration.
