Returns & Refunds Policy

We Are Makers is a printed publication. As with books and magazines generally, returns are limited due to the nature of the product.

Order Cancellations (Before Dispatch)

Orders placed before 4pm are typically dispatched the same working day.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us within 1 hour of order confirmation.

If your order has not yet been dispatched, we will issue a full refund.

Once an order has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled and will be subject to the returns policy below.

Change of Mind Returns (After Delivery)

You must notify us within 14 days of delivery if you wish to request a return. Approved returns must be sent back promptly and meet the conditions below.

  • Unopened
  • Unread
  • In resaleable condition

Once a magazine has been opened or read, it is not eligible for return or refund for change-of-mind purchases.

Return Conditions

For approved change-of-mind returns:

  • Return postage is the customer’s responsibility
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable (free shipping, still has a cost)
  • The item must be received back by us before a refund is issued
  • Proof of return postage is required

We recommend using a tracked or signed-for service. Items lost in return transit remain the customer’s responsibility.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your magazine arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs, and we will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Goodwill Gestures

Any refunds or partial refunds issued outside of this policy are made at our discretion as a gesture of goodwill and do not set a precedent for future orders.

Subscrptions

If you are reading this, you are thinking about starting a We Are Makers subscription & we thank you!

A subscription contract is the agreement between a customer and a merchant over a specific term for recurring purchases over a set or undefined period of time.

When you start a subscription with us, you are agreeing that a payment will be taken from your bank account at the dates dated at times of purchase. Our subscription will be every August, November, February and May. The subscription will continue rolling unless you cancel your subscription with us. You'll be able to access your details via your account. Please keep this email handy or saved,

In terms of payment change, we will always let our customers know in advance if any changes will take place. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

The payment for the subscription will come out on the 1st of each month that the magazine will be printed and sent to your door.

We only ship products that have been paid for in full. If your payment bounces for any reason. An email will be sent to you to make you aware of this.

Once the magazine is in the post, we won't be able to accept refunds. Please make sure you cancel your subscription before we send out your copy.
