I really love this magazine, it is a very interesting, informative and inspirational read.
Lovely magazine by great people and always worth a read
About time!
I was a bit hesitant to spend $25 on a magazine, but I thought, hey, I can always cancel my subscription. What a pleasant surprise! This is much more than a magazine, and it's about time a resource like this became available. I am a passionate maker, and as many others out there, I am not business-driven. For me the joy is in the making. Perhaps many, if not all the makers featured in the magazine would say the same thing, and seeing their success stories is a great encouragement for anyone struggling to make it.
I believe the craft movement is gaining momentum and becoming more mainstream, and I see "We Are Makers" as a banner at the head of the movement. There are more and more people dissatisfied with the mass produced, disposable, and often environmentally-hazardous goods out there. People are looking for alternatives, and I see this magazine as pointing the way. Furthermore, allocating 11% of the proceeds from the magazine sales to grants helping makers around the world tells me that the publishers, Kate and Jack, put their money where their mouth is. They are genuinely passionate about creative work and endeavoring to help fellow craftspeople in any way they can. Thank you Kate and Jack!
Best regards, and looking forward to issue #17,

I absolutely adore this publication. It is a treasure trove of beautiful pictures and articles about incredibly talented people dedicated to their crafts. I’m always torn between devouring the entire contents or keeping each chapter as a little island to visit on separate days just spread the joy. It is uplifting, educational and inspiring.
This is a gorgeous publication with interesting articles about makers I wouldn't have thought to be interested in. Very broad range of makers, which I really appreciated. Great writing and beautiful photographs. Well done!
