Let customers speak for us
from 168 reviewsIt is a beautiful magazine that feels good in the hand - there's nothing like paper with words to help you feel grounded. The photography is wonderful and the stories are inspiring!
AS a maker myself I enjoy seeing the work of others and reading their insights into the crafting life.
I look forward to each new issue, it's the best thing in my library. What your doing with featuring all these extraordinary artists, craftsmen and women it truly amazing. Job well done, keep doing what your doing. 🙏🤗😎😍😃😇😊Hello from Montana 🏔🐎🐴🐂😇🤗🙏😍
Brilliant
This may be the most important magazine and podcast (to me and my interests) that I’ve ever read/listened to. I wish I’d learned of it sooner! Cover to cover, the print magazine is very thoughtfully produced, both in production quality and beautifully written copy. I can’t wait for the next one. Thank you so much, Kate and Jack!
A world view of dedicated craftspeople who otherwise may be overlooked.
Thank you for finding them.
This is a joy from start to finish. The interesting stories, the inspirational journeys, the extraordinary skill of the crafts, the actual quality of the publication itself. What's not to love. In this era of emails, social media (where one is expected to appreciate something after 4 seconds of exposure) and Ai ("It's not real mum!), to hold a copy of this, turn the pages and delight in its content is a real joy. Thank you.
I love each edition! They do a fantastic job of showcasing interesting artists with a variety of talents and vision.
Another thoughtful collection of makers stories. I learn so much from each one. The addition of the Make It section is also amazing. So many helpful teachable moments to share. Thank you for creating such an impactful print magazine.
Absolutely fantastic. Reminded me childhood days when reading could take you all around the world in a second. I loved that stories were from different places and from different crafters with different personal stories. Each new article was a surprise
Beautiful production. Nice thick stock, quality photography, well written narratives, just fabulous. Extremely engaging in the stories of each maker. Highly recommended to those eho sre capable of seeing the heart, art, and talents of true craftsmanship.
Yet again another WAM treat arrived in the post. I held off from opening it until I had “me time” and a fresh brew of tea. I went on a small holiday reading it, visiting makers from all over the world, reading their stories and soaking up their creativity from each page. What a great collection of artists, makers, and genuine great people. Looking forward to my next We Are Makers small holiday in 2026.
We love everything about this publication, so informative and beautiful
I thought this edition was particularly interesting - even subjects that I wouldn’t normally be interested in, such as car interiors and cowboy boots were reported in such an interesting and personable way.
Great as always
What:
A Quarterly Coffee Table Magazine.
We choose to collect these makers stories in a beautifully curated coffee table magazine.
Why? We want these stories to be appreciated time and time again. The stories in our magazine are here to stay, they are detached from the algorithm and wont get lost in the noise of the internet, nor will you whilst reading.
Who:
Kate and Jack Lennie.
For nearly six years, we (Kate and Jack) have dedicated every waking moment to telling makers' stories. Why? To give makers, artists, and craftspeople the recognition they deserve.
In doing so, we hope to make a positive impact on the creative economy and introduce creative livelihoods to a wider audience.
Where:
Everywhere.
Telling makers' stories irrespective of language barriers, their location, or nationality gives us the ability to bring you a huge range of creatives.
We have featured makers from 43 different countries and personally travelled to 8 different countries and 12 states. We've sat in 110 workshops and spoke with countless makers across almost every timezone.
"It has never been more important to support makers as it is now. In a culture cuffed to mass manufacture, we risk loosing the skills and magic that independent makers bring to the world."
